Add Inspection type for Survey

The survey templates are mapped to object type and inspection type. Only inspection types marked as SURVEY or SIMPLE_SURVEY will be possible to map.

SURVEY is used for inspection types where it should be possible to initiate the survey from the field client.

SIMPLE_SURVEY is used for inspection types where all surveys will be initiated from the office client.

 

1.In the menu bar, select Administration > Codelists > Codelist manager.

2.In the drop-down menu Codelist owner, select INSP.

3.In the drop-down menu Codelist, select INSP_KIND_CL.

4.Press Add .

5.In CODETEXT, write the name of the inspection type.

6.In TYPE, select SURVEY or SIMPLE_SURVEY.

 

Create Survey questions

Each survey type is handled in a separate codelist. The survey type is dependant on the answer, like text, date, document, coordinates, and so on, see the table below.

In codelist SURVEY_SINGLE_SELECT_CL, one row for each possible answer should be added. Note that one row must have an empty answer.

1.In the menu bar, select Administration > Codelists > Codelist manager.

2.In the drop-down menu Codelist owner, select INSP.

3.In the drop-down menu Codelist, select the codelist that represent the type of question you want to create.

4.Press Add .

5.In CODETEXT, write the desired question.

You can use SHORT_TEXT to show a shorter version of the question in the survey report.

Create a Survey template

1.In the menu bar, select Maintainer > Survey templates.

2.Press Create .

3.Fill in the Template name and ID.

You can use Template description to add more information about the survey.

4.Select the Survey tab.

5.Add the Name of the survey. This will be presented for the user when performing the survey.

6.Press Add to add questions that should be part of this survey template.

7.Select the Question type and Question. All available questions for the selected Question type will be shown in the field Question.

Change the order of the questions with the arrows to the right of the questions table.

 

Map a Survey template

A survey template must be mapped to the object types and inspection types where the template should be able to be used.

1.In the menu bar, select Maintainer > Survey templates.

2.Select the survey template you want to map and press Map survey .

You can also right-click on the survey template and select Map survey....

3.Select the object type, subtype, state and inspection type and press Add.  

You can map a survey template to several object types, subtypes, states and inspection types.

You must specify the object types and inspection types, but if the survey template is intended to be visible for all subtypes and states, do not fill in any values for these.

4.Press Save.

 

Create a Survey from a Survey template

The inspections are handled in plan templates, see section Plan templates for instructions on how to set up a plan template.

 

You can only create Surveys for objects that have an inspection whose inspection type is mapped to a survey, see section Map a Survey template above.

 

1.Open the attribute form of the object where you want to create the survey.

2.Select the Inspection using templates tab.

3.Select an inspection row.

4.Select the Surveys tab and press Add to create a new survey for the inspection. In the dialog, all survey templates that have been mapped to the current otype/subtype/state/inspection type is shown.

5.Select the template you want to create the survey from and press Create . The survey template is added to the list of surveys.

Press Show to show the questions of the survey template before adding it to the object.

 

Surveys can be added to several inspections at once by selecting several inspections, for example:

1.Press Query tool .

2.In the Reports tab, select the desired report under Inspections.

3.Fill in desired search criteria and press Search.

4.Select objects in the result list, right-click and select Add survey.

 

Create Inspection task for a Survey

The surveys are mainly designed to be performed from the field client. To be able to send a survey out to the field personell a task is created, the survey inspections are linked to the task round and an activity is added for the field user.

1.In the menu bar, select Organizer > Show/Hide Organizer.

2.Press Create task/project . A dialog opens.

3.Select a Task template under Inspection task, or create a new task without a template.

4.Fill in the desired information and press Create.

5.In the east panel, select the Inspection round tab.

6.Select the Add inspections tab.

7.Select from the tree view and press Search, to search for the inspections to add in this round. A dialog opens.

8.Select the desired inspections from the list and press Add inspections to round.

9.Select the Workflow tab.

10.Press Add object > Add an activity for the task to add an activity type for performing inspections in the field.

11.In the Activity tab, field Owner, press > Select owner  to set the owner to the inbox or user that should see this in their to-do list in the field client.

The selected activity type needs to be labeled with OWM_LAYOUT_INSPECTION or OWM_LAYOUT_SURVEY.

Survey report

The result from the surveys could be found by looking at each survey in the inspection form. To get an overview of all surveys from a specific survey template:

1.Press Query tool .

2.In the Reports tab, select Inspection > Surveys.

3.Select Survey template and other desired parameters and press Search.

Each question of the selected survey template is presented in a column.

Each surveyed object is presented in a row.

For document questions the number of added documents is shown.

4.Double-click on a row to open the inspection for that particular object.

5.Select the Surveys tab and double-click on a survey to get all questions of the survey.

6.Double-click on a document question to see the added document(s).
