The toolbar

A toolbar is located below the operation rows. The toolbar contains a set of functions that may be available or blocked depending on the situation. It is, for example, not meaningful to have tools for editing in a "frozen" operating order or to archive an active outage before an outage has been created.

What the buttons do is described in each section below. The last six buttons are described in section Switch order. This section describes the buttons that involve editing.

Basic editing

Using the right-click menu in an operating order row

Insert row: New rows are created automatically at the bottom of the order list. If a row needs to be inserted before a certain row - set focus to the current row and use this button. A new row is inserted.

Delete rows: To remove points of operation - select one or several rows (shift and select). Press the button and the selected rows will be removed. At the same time, the remaining rows are renumbered.

Using the tool buttons

Insert operation from map/schematics: Connects an object in the map or schema to an operation in an operation row. The operations shown depend on the object type.

When you select an object in the map or schema, a dialog box with operations, such as work and operating orders, opens. Select the desired text template by right-clicking in the Description field and selecting Use template text, see Operation rows > Text templates.

Copy rows: Select the rows that should be copied (see delete rows). Press the button and the rows are added to the operating order clipboard.

Note! That the content of the clipboard also is available from other operating orders. It is therefore possible to copy from one operating order (including completed/canceled) to another. The affected customers, times and other volatile information is not copied.

Paste rows: Inserts the copied operation rows from the clipboard before the selected point of operation. The row numbers are adjusted.

Copy selected rows: Select the rows to be copied (compare deleting rows). Right-click and select Copy to copy only the selected rows. The rows are added to the operating order clipboard. Note that the contents of the clipboard are also available from other operating orders. It is thus possible to copy from one operating order (also terminated / canceled) to another in this way. There is some intelligence in the copying - customer influence, times and other "one-off tasks" are not copied.

Mirror operations

Mirror rows: Adds counter operations to the rows that are selected. The records are added at the bottom and in the reversed order. Operations for devices can be mirrored (open becomes closed, remove becomes apply, block becomes unblock etc.) It is also possible to mirror template texts under certain conditions, see section Template texts.

There is a certain analysis in the mirroring which makes it possible for template texts that has additional texts, to often be mirrored as well.

Example

1.We have a template texts that says "Unlock gate @[1]".

2.@[1] Defines an input field, see section Template texts.

3.The operator writes XYZ in the field so the description will be "Unlock gate XYZ"

4.If there are a mirrored template text "Lock gate @[1]", the program will separate the template text and the input text. A mirrored template text "Lock gate XYZ" will be created automatically.

Manually entered identities for operations are not mirrored. This can occur when an identity is missing in the network documentation (e.g. fuses). The identity needs to be entered for the mirrored row as well.

Operation rows that are missing a definition for a mirrored record, are not mirrored. It is therefore possible that the mirroring can result in less new points of operation than the number that was selected.

Using the function for mirror rows can (almost) reduce the work with the points of operation by 50 per cent.

Copy selected rows mirrored : Select the rows to mirror. Right-click and select Copy mirrored.

Simulate operations

Simulate operations A new dialog box opens where it is possible to retrieve operations from the switch order in outages, from operating orders and from the map. The rows are simulated and the result is saved.

In the dialog box you can use, among other things, press the buttons Add open, Add close, Remove, Move up, Move down and Mirror.

Affected customers

Affected customers sums the affected customers due to switching operations. This can be done in advance (as a simulation), when a switching is executed (as a state) or afterwards (as an assumption).

Affected customers can provide different results depending on when an analyze occurs:

In advanced - the system traces the affected customers based on the current switch state. The analyze is often correct but a deviant result may show if the switch state is different during the execution.

During the execution - the actual affected customers are traced and stored. Completely correct result given that the network documentation is up to date and that customers are imported to the system.

Afterwards - there is a chance that the list of affected customers is misleading due to modified topology since the switching was executed. The system gives a warning about this before the previously affected customers are overwritten.

The buttons for affected customers when handling unplanned faults and planned outages are found in the toolbar.

Set number of affected customers for all rows not executed: The number of affected customers is calculated. The analysis utilizes on the current switch state as it is when the function is launched. The switch states that are shown in the field Operation state in the tab Prerequisites are not considered or checked against.

Estimated affected customers are saved with the operating order. The saved information is updated when the row is actually executed.

To set affected customers after the operating order has been executed is normally not recommended. The network may have modified feeding paths and due to this the affected customers will not be correct.

Show affected customers for all rows: Customers, that lose power supply in any of the operation rows, are displayed in a list.

To show affected customers for specific operation rows, right-click on a row and select Show affected customers.

Announce affected customers for the selected rows: The button opens a new window where it is possible to announce the customers.

Announcements that is executed from the operating order will be displayed in the separate announcement tab.
