<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Operations from lists of network documentation |
The texts, that has been described so far, have no switching function in the operating order. There are two alternatives to create operations for switch devices in the operating order:
•Enter (the beginning) of the identities and select them from lists matching what is entered.
•Retrieve the identities directly from the map/schema.
Retrieving the identities directly from the map/schema has been the most popular alternative but we are going to start by describing how operations are built without using the graphics.
Enter as many characters of the switch device as needed in the cell Switch device, to get a reasonable cardinality. Press the tab button on your keyboard. A window will open with two lists. In the upper section of the window (Choose station), the station that contains the switch device should be selected. The device or devices that matches the characters that you entered previously, are listed in the lower section of the window (Choose device).
Note! That points of operation that are created in this way, are connected to the network documentation (it can be centered in the map/schema etc.) in the same way as if they were created according to the section Operations by using map/schema below.
Example |
1.Suppose that there are in total 20 devices that has an ID starting with the characters 76 in the network documentation. These devices are placed in different stations. The device that is requested is 76-1 and is located in station 76-F1-40-10. In 76-F1-40-10 there are two other devices that also starts with 76 - 76-2 and 76-3.
2.Enter 76 in the field Switch device and press tab. The different stations with a matching device are listed in the window that is opened.
3.Select the correct station. 76-1, 76-2 and 76-3 are displayed in the list Choose device.
4.Select the device 76-1 and the program will ask you for an Operation
5.When an operation has been chosen, a complete point of operation is created |
The dialog window is not displayed if no matching devices are found.
When a device is selected and the dialog for devices has been closed by pressing the button OK, a new dialog window is opened. In this dialog you select which operation that should be applied on the device. The operations that you can choose from depends on the type of device.
Note! That it is not always the counter operation to the current actual switch state that is selected as default in the list of operations.
Line devices (that are not located in a station) are handled similar to what has been described above. In the list for devices, one row is displayed with the text "ID missing" for the line devices that is not located in a station. Select a device and continue with the operations as usual.
When the operation is selected, the description text is entered automatically.
Example |
1.We have chosen the operation Open for the disconnector 76-1 that is located in the station 76-F1-40-10. 2.The field Description is entered with the text Open 76-1 in 76-F1-40-10. |
It is possible to update the generated text in the field Description. Use this possibility carefully and only if there really is a need to. It is for example perfectly fine to add comments after the text, but to modify the generated text is rarely a good idea. Substantially modified texts can, for example cause that the mirroring of the operations not to work properly.
As an efficient alternative to select identities from lists with devices, it is possible to select a device directly from the map/schema. Select the button Insert tripping device from map from the toolbar underneath the operation rows. Select a symbol or text component that belongs to the device in the map/schema. The dialog window Operations is displayed. The procedure after this is identical to the previous section From lists.
Note! Do not forget only to use posted devices in the operation rows.
