To delete and/or save symbols in the symbol editor, follow the steps below:

 

1.Start the Symbol editor by selecting Administration > Symbol editor.

2.The symbol fonts are opened automatically when you log in and are displayed to the left in the application window. (It opens as a sidebar and it is also possible to use F9 to show/hide). The name of the symbol font and the amount of symbols that the font contains are presented in the application window.

3.Select the symbol font you wish to edit and the symbols that belongs to the symbol font will be loaded in the graphical view. Note! That the symbols in the Symbol editor are shown in their original appearance. The symbols that should be used and how they look in the map is defined by the system administrator in the Drawing attributes administration tool.

4.Select Tools > Delete symbol.

5.Select the symbol you wish to delete and that symbol will be deleted immediately without any warnings

6.If you wish to only delete a part of a symbol, open the editing window and select the alternative Edit > Delete component and select the part of the symbol that you wish to remove

7.To save a symbol, open the editing window and go to File > Save symbol or use the tool button .

8.The dialog Save symbol is opened. Enter the Symbol font and Symbol id and use the button Save. The symbol font and symbol id is now found in the sidebar in the main window.
