Symbol editor

The symbol editor is used to create, edit and delete symbols.

To start the symbol editor, the EDITSYMBOLS role is required.

About symbols

Symbols are stored in the database table DP_SYMBOLS, which contains the following fields:

SYMBOL_FONT - The name of the symbol font.

SYMBOL_NR - Unique ID of the symbol.

SHAPE - Geometry of the symbol.

OUTLINE - Symbol delimiter, used for scaling and rotation.

A symbol is identified by a unique combination of symbol font and symbol ID. For example, the symbol font "My_font" can contain symbols with ID "symbol1", "symbol2", etc.

The OUTLINE object contains a center point that serves as the positioning, scaling and rotation point of the symbol.
