The Decision point function is used to create and document decisions in the workflow and to be able to take different actions in the work process based on decisions made.
Only Organizer administrators can add decision points. See section Decision points in Organizer administration. |
The role of the decision point function is to clarify decision alternatives and allow the user to choose one of the decision alternatives and to be able to control the workflow according to the decision. Control can only be performed in the ways predefined in the decision point.
1.In the east panel, select the Workflow tab.
2.Select a decision point from the list of workflow items .
3.Fill in the desired information and dates. Information in the subtab Decision point:
oSort value - A sort value set to 1 will appear at the top of the listed activities. The sorting value can also be found in the query tool.
oOwner - Press to Take activity
so that you become the owner, or Select owner
to select someone else as the owner.
For decision points that have ever been owned by an inbox, you can select Restore the previous inbox as owner |
oPlanned start - Fill in planned start date .
oPlanned end - Fill in planned end date .
oStart - Fill in the actual start date. If you start the workflow item via the icon , this date will be filled in automatically.
oEnd - The end date is filled in automatically when you finish the workflow item .
oNotify after end date - Press to send an email after the workflow item is ended. You can select to Notify task manager or Notify user and select users via
.
oAlarm - Press to send an email to the owner of the workflow item. Set the number of days before and after the planned start and end dates.
In order for emails to be sent out, scheduled jobs and email templates need to be configured in the customer environment, contact Digpro support for help setting this up. |
oMake decision - Which decision choice you select affects the workflow. Different decisions can be madeand decision choices be addeddepending on the different decision points of the workflow. In the decision point there is also a section that handles the decisions that can/are expected to be taken in the point. Select Manage decisions to choose which decisions can be made. The decision choices end up in the decision section.
4.Press Save when you have made your changes.
1.Select a decision point from the list and press:
oStart workflow item to start.
oFinish workflow item to finish. A dialog opens.
a.Select the decision to be made.
b.Press OK.
If, for example, the decision choice revise calculation is selected, a new pre-study with a new decision point will be added to the workflow and marked in bold because a new decision needs to be made before the work can proceed with design and preparation.
When revision is completed, a decision is made to approve and thus move on in the process. The next step in the workflow is highlighted in bold.
When the decision is made, the decision point is closed for further editing and changes color to green in the workflow. The next step in the workflow will be highlighted in bold. The decision that has been made is marked with a tick in the decision section.

Tasks with decision points can be finished from Organizer Webmap. If the task's changeset is empty and all previous activities and decision points in the task are completed, the task is terminated if a decision of type CLOSE_TASK is made from Organizer Webmap.
If there are changes in the task's changeset or open activities before the decision point, the user will receive an error message and cannot execute the decision. |
