Points from file...

The function reads in and converts series of coordinate points between coordinate systems from different text file formats that come from e.g. GPSs/Text/CSV files.

The tool can read series of coordinate points but does not take into account the format itself unless it is organized into rows and columns separated by repeating characters or strings e.g. tab, space, comma etc. It is possible to adjust the fields Field separator, Column number and decide if the first line should be ignored (mostly used for column headings).

Transform coordinates - Points from file

1.Choose Tools > Coordinate transformation > Points from file...

2.Select a file with a series of coordinate points.

3.Customize or adjust the data in the preview.

4.Upload the file to the transform tool.

5.Transform the points.

6.Locate the points on the map and/or save them to a file on disk.
