Operator uses real-time messages to update information when, for example, outages, operations, error reports, or other Operator events change. If the information is not updated automatically, it may be because Operator is not receiving real-time messages from the web server.
1.Start Operator.
2.In the south panel, select an outage.
3.In the east panel, change the Planned start time and press Save.
4.Verify that the change is automatically updated in the south panel.
oIf the information updates, real-time messages are working.
oIf the information does not update, continue troubleshooting as described below.
If you receive a warning about a certificate issue when you log in, you may be asked:
"Continue without name verification or cancel?"
It is possible to continue the login process despite the warning. However, real-time messages will likely not work when this warning appears. Other integrations may also be affected.
Contact your system administrator to resolve the certificate issue. |
If you did not receive a certificate error message when you logged in, continue troubleshooting by checking whether network communication is being blocked.
1.Check whether your antivirus software is blocking network communication from Tomcat.
2.Check whether the firewall is blocking WebSocket traffic.
If any of these types of traffic are blocked, Operator cannot receive real-time messages.
Contact your system administrator if you do not have permission to check or change the antivirus software or firewall settings. |
