Line objects are used for features represented by a line on the map, such as power lines, cables, paths, fences, and boundaries.
1.Select the object type you want to place.
2.Click Place Object.
3.Specify any attributes.
4.Click on the map to place the first vertex.
5.Continue placing vertices until the feature has the desired alignment.
6.Double-click or right-click and select Create Component to complete the placement.
The object is created with one or more graphical components.
In several products, line objects can be placed between existing vertices.
When you move the mouse pointer over a node, it is highlighted. Click the node to connect the object to it.
•The Schema map product supports horizontal and vertical line placement.
•When a line is placed near a horizontal or vertical direction, the system helps align the line with existing vertices.
•Press the spacebar to enable or disable the feature.
For line objects, different placement modes may be available:
