Extract and analyze object data using the function Buckets

You can extract and analyze object data from dpSpatial in, for example, Excel. You can also paste object data from external source into dpSpatial.

Bucket as a way to sort out relevant object data

The procedure takes place in several steps. The steps are described below.

 

Extract object data using the Query Tool

1.Select Tools > Query Tool. Select the tab Queries.

2.Select a query from the list and press Search.

3.Select the attribute rows in the search result that you want to be able to analyze.

4.Export the search result to Excel . Excel opens with the extracted object data.

 

Analyze the object data in Excel

1.Analyze the object data in Excel by selecting specific attributes Object Type (dp_otype) and System ID (dp_oid) must always be selected).

2.Select the rows in the Excel sheet you want to copy back into the Bucket in dpSpatial.

3.Press Ctrl + C.

 

Create bucket in dpSpatial with relevant object data

1.Select Tools > Buckets > New bucket from clipboard...

2.Give the bucket a Name and choose column settings.

3.Press OK. A dialog box with the selected object data is displayed.
