You can run queries on results in saved item list. The function is available in the query tool, in the right-click menu when one or more objects are selected in the view or under Show > Highlight > Highlight saved object list.
Scenario 1:
1.Select one or more objects in one of the following ways:
o Select one or more objects in the map.
o Select the Query Tool:
a.Press Query Tool .
b.Under the Queries tab, click on the object type or subtype you want to ask about and press Search.
c.Select one or more rows in the results window.
2.Right click and select Handle saved object list > Add. The object(s) will be added to an object list that can be used in combination with the Inside active view/area checkbox, the Trace tool and in combination with Reports to get a more specific search result.
3.Select the In saved object list checkbox in the Query Tool.
4.Press Search. The result of the search is displayed in the results window.
Scenario 2:
1.Press Query Tool .
2.Under the Queries tab, click on the object type or subtype you want to ask about.
3.Select the Inside active view/area checkbox and press Search.
4.Select one or more rows in the results window.
5.Right click and select Handle saved object list > Add to add additional objects or Replace to replace the existing objects in the object list.
6.Press Search.
7.To combine this with a report, select the Reports tab.
8.Select the report you want to run, select the Save results in object list checkbox and press the Search button. The result of the report combined with the objects in the saved list is displayed in the results window.
Scenario 3:
1.Select Tools > Trace > Save result in object list and select the tracing you want to perform. The network is traced out in the map and all objects that are traced out are added to the objects list.
2.Press the icon for the Query Tool .
3.Under the Reports tab, select the relevant report.
4.Select the Save results in object list checkbox and press the Search button. The result list now only shows the objects that are in the object list and that match the report that was just run.
Run the Individual List or Summarized List report to get all the objects in the list. The Individual list displays a row for each item found. The Summarized list displays the amount of each object type found.
To clear the entire object list or show what it contains, the In saved object list report is available with the Individual list subreport. |
To clear the entire object list:
1.Press the icon for the Query Tool .
2.Select the Reports tab.
3.Select In saved object list > Individual list.
4.Press Search.
5.Select all rows in the results window and select Handle saved object list > Remove. The entire object list is cleared.
•Add - Adds objects.
•Remove - Removes objects.
•Replace - Replaces existing objects.
•Add (children of selected objects) - Adds subordinate object. Here, all oo-links and parent-links down will be added to the object list.
•Replace with (children of selected objects) - Replaces with subordinate object.
•Add (parents of selected objects) - Adds superior object.
•Replace with (parents of selected objects) - Replaces with superior object.
