Zoom

The function gives access to different zoom functions.

 

Zoom in/out

Tools that are used to create an enhanced view (zoom in) or to see more of the map (zoom out) .

It is possible to zoom in the map in a few different ways:

Click one time in the active view around the point in which you wish to zoom in/out. For each click, the map scale increases/decreases by a factor 2 (approximately).

Create a rectangle by clicking in the view and drag the mouse. Release the mouse button to zoom in/out to the defined area.

If the mouse has a scrolling wheel you can at any time, without activating the tool zoom, zoom the map by using the scrolling wheel. Move the scrolling wheel upwards to zoom in and downwards to zoom out.

Centre

Centers the view on a selected point in the map, without affecting the map scale.

Click anywhere in the map. The view is automatically adjusted so that the given position is placed in the center of the view.

 

Pan

The tool is used to move the map in different directions .

Click in the map and use the mouse to drag the map in desired direction.

It is also possible to zoom with the Pan-tool:

Right click, keep the button pressed down and move the mouse forward or backwards to zoom in or zoom out.

More information

If the mouse has a scrolling wheel you can at any time, without activating the tool pan, pan in the map simply by holding down the scroll wheel and move the mouse.

It is also possible to pan by using the button Shift and drag the mouse.

Zoom scale

Zooms to the specified scale in the active graphical view.

When the function is activated the dialog Enter scale factor is opened:

Enter the preferred scale factor, and click OK.
