Once you have logged in and selected a changeset, the main application window is opened. The application window contains the Menu bar, Toolbar, a Graphic View and other areas that constitutes the application interface. Read more about the interface in User interface.
Window > New window (Ctrl + N). The new window will have one graphical view, containing the same map product as in the active view.
Settings > Save frame settings (Ctrl + J). Saves a number of settings applied to all windows and views in the active changeset.
The following settings are saved:
•Selected map product, for example Position map, Rural Map, Automatically generated graphics.
•Map settings for product classes Scale dependent, Show, Hide.
•Map section, that is the geographic position of the map and the map scale.
You may restore saved frame settings by selecting Settings > Restore frame settings. Views, map products, themes, and so on, are restored according to your saved settings.
To open a changeset with the saved frame settings, select Open in the dialog Select changeset. You can also open the changeset without saved frame settings by pressing the arrow icon next to Open and select Open, ignore frame settings. |
An application window always contains at least one graphical view. Graphical views are used to visualize geographic data, create new data, as well as for editing and analyzing existing graphical data. In order to view and work with a particular section of the map or a specific type of graphic data, there are tools that let you zoom, pan, navigate in graphical views, and hide or highlight certain data.
The following sections give descriptions of the most commonly used tools to manage and adjust graphical views. These include:
•Split view - You have the option to show several views at once by splitting a view into two or more smaller views.
•Template View Layouts - Templates for split view on: Two columns; Two rows; One large column and two smaller rows; One large row and two smaller columns; One large column and three smaller rows; One large row and two smaller columns.
•Remove view - It is easy to delete one or several views you have created.
•Create overview - Using an overview makes it easier to orient and navigate in the map.
•Fit view - It is possible to automatically adjust the geographical extent of a view so that it captures a certain type of data, for example data in the active changeset.
•Pan in overview - Define area in overview or double-click in detail view.
