Basic roles

Function

FPPADMIN

Role for users who have any administrative rights in dpSpatial. Also has FPPWRITE. Users with this role will be connected to the database through a system user who has the FPPADMIN database role.

FPPREAD

Role for users who should only have read permission. Users with this role will be connected to the database through a system user who has the FPPREAD database role (if the user does not have higher rights).

FPPWRITE

Role for users who have both read permission and write permission (on any object). Also has FPPREAD. Users with this role will be connected to the database via a system user who has the FPPWRITE database role (if the user does not have higher rights).

XXX_PD_ACCESS

Role that give rights to view personal data in each product / module.

XXX_LOGON

Roles to log in to the specific product.

WORKSET_MANAGER

Role to manage change sets. Note: The role does not apply to dpPower. In dpPower, this role is included in ELADM.

PLOTADMIN

Role available in all dpSpatial installations to handle plot functions, such as map frames.

MANAGELEGENDS

Role used to load drawing frames and legends.

ALL_ATTRIBUTES

Role for the Administration tab, to be able to view an attribute form with all attributes.

BACKGROUND_MAP_ADMIN

Role required to delete imported background maps.

ADD_COMMON_TABLE_SETTINGS

Role giving rights to make table settings that are common to the company

EDITATTRIBUTES

Role giving rights to change drawing attributes.

EDITSYMBOLS

Role giving rights to the symbol editor.

IMPORTROLE

Role that in addition to the right to import data, also gives the right to start the symbol editor.

MANAGEATTRIBUTES

Role that allows permission to start the product editor and to export products.

MANAGECODELISTS

Role that allows permission to change and extend code lists. This role is also necessary for use of the table manager

MANAGERIGHTS

Role that provides access to the Rights editor and the metadata manual.

PST_ADMIN

Role required to manage global map templates.

MANAGEUSERS

User Manager role

PD_OWNER

Role for the search and anonymization features in the administration menu. Should only be provided to the person being responsible for Personal Data at each company.

USER_SELECTS_OPTIMISTIC

Role for showing pessimistic changesets even tough the application is using optimistic.setting=optimistic.

Note! After the role has been set the application must be restarted.

BUCKET

Role required to be able to use the Bucket function in the right-click menu. The role is granted to admin roles. It is possible for a user with administrative rights to grant the role to other roles. It is also possible to remove the role BUCKET from the admin role. The role is included in admin roles by default. However, does not apply to dpCom (optoadmin).
