The users roles in dpSpatial are stored in role tables and managed through the User Manager in the Admin menu. Roles that are intended to be given directly to users are called user roles. Remaining roles are intended to be assigned to other roles and are therefore not listed when assigning roles to a user.
There are currently many customizations of roles, which means there is no direct standard for roles in the system. As we offer the opportunity to create company specific roles and management individually today, it may look different from customer to customer. We aim to provide READ, WRITE, ADMIN and LOGON roles in all applications.
Note that the SUPERADM role is not available in all applications. In the applications where it occurs, it gives access to additional parts of the administration menu, specific for each application, see more information under each application in the role schedule
We divide our roles in Basic Roles, Product / Module-Specific Roles and Database Roles.
•Basic roles - roles that form the basis of product-specific or module-specific roles and are common to all products / modules.
•Product / module-specific roles - roles that are customized to our different modules and products. See the schedule for which roles are specific to each product or module.
•Database roles - in addition to the roles in dpSpatial, there are also a number of roles in the database that allow dpSpatial to connect and read / modify data. These roles are called database roles and are used only internally by the system (they do not need to be maintained by the administrator or assigned to any user).
Since many of our customers have customizations, we recommend that you contact your customer service representative at digpro if you want to know more about the roles and accesses you currently have with your customer-specific roles. With the new legal requirement on personal data that came into force in May 2018, it is especially important to adjust who in your company has access to and must have access to personal data in dpSpatial. To control who can see and manage personal data in dpSpatial, the PD_OWNER and XXX_PD_ACCESS roles are used for each module/product. |
