Splits a line object into two new line objects.
The function is configured so that when a split has been made, the function is canceled. If you wish to split more lines, you need to activate the function again. This configuration is done for the following functions: •Edit > Object > Split line. •Place > Joints with cable split > Transposition. •Place > Joints with cable split > Joint. •Place > Joints with cable split > Branch joint. |
When you split a line object, this is shown in the History tab of the object's attribute form. This applies to objects that had one of the following states at the time of the split: •In use •In use, planned for reconstruction •In use, planned for destruction •In use, not exported •In use, graphics generated •Destroyed •Discarded •Out of operation For other states, the system considers the new line object as a completely new object without history. |
When you change the object type, the old object type is displayed in the History tab of the object's attribute form. This applies to objects that had one of the following states at the time of the change:
•In use
•In use, planned for reconstruction
•In use, planned for destruction
•In use, not exported
•In use, graphics generated
•Destroyed
•Discarded
•Out of operation
For other states, the system considers the new object type as a completely new object without history.
1.Select Edit > Object > Split line.
2.Select cable split point with left mouse button, on the line to split. The line is highlighted and a red cross is drawn on the proposed split point. If the wrong line is highlighted, click right mouse button to highlight the desired line.
3.To accept the split point just click with the left mouse button.
4.Select the original line with the left mouse button or cancel the function with the right mouse button. The selected original line inherits components from the original object. If the object has components in other map products, the line will be split in the other map products as well and the dialog Map products opens.
