Post is used to make the contents of a changeset available to other users by saving changes made in the changeset to the database. Before a changeset is posted, various posting checks are performed.
•The Post function can only be used in postable changesets and only when a change has been made in the active changeset. •If any of the changes conflict with changes in another changeset or with changes that are locked, these must be handled before the change set can be posted. See section Managing changeset conflicts. |
Post changes to the database
1.Select File > Post....
2.Select desired options in the dialog.
3.Press Post. The changes are posted to the database.

•Changes that are posted to the database are emptied from the changeset. To post changes and keep the contents in the changeset, check the checkbox "Keep all objects in changeset (Publish)" before posting. •If the post check finds errors in the changeset, they must be corrected before the changeset can be posted. See the Run Post Checks section for more information on how to see failing objects in the current view. •If the post check finds conflicts in the changeset, they must be corrected before the changeset can be posted. See the section Managing conflicts between changesets for more information on how to handle this. •The function for publishing (the checkbox "Keep all objects in changeset (Publish)") can be used as a support when designing in Designer. By publishing a changeset, a user can notify other users of their design proposal and then continue to produce calculations and material lists based on the content of the change set. |
