Post is used to make the contents of a changeset available to other users by saving changes made in the changeset to the database. Before a changeset is posted, various posting checks are performed.
•The Post function can only be used in postable changesets and only when a change has been made in the active changeset. •If any of the changes conflict with changes in another changeset or with changes that are locked, these must be handled before the change set can be posted. See section Handle changeset conflicts. |
1.Select File > Post....
2.Select desired options in the dialog:
oShow details - Show details of the objects that have been changed, created, or deleted in the changeset. Double-click on an object in the list to open its attribute form and view its history.
oComment - Fill in a comment to make it easier to track and understand which edits have been made.
oKeep all objects in changeset (Publish) - Check the box to keep all objects in the changeset when posting. If the checkbox is not selected, all objects that are posted will disappear from the changeset.
The checkbox Keep all objects in changeset (Publish) can be used as a support when designing in Designer. By publishing a changeset, a user can notify other users of their design proposal and then continue to produce calculations and material lists based on the content of the changeset. |
oKeep unpostable objects in changeset - Check the box to keep the unpostable objects that are in the changeset when posting.
oSet dates - Opens the function to set the date based on state changes. See section Set dates before posting for more information.
3.Press Post. The changes are posted to the database.
•If the post check finds errors in the changeset, they must be corrected before the changeset can be posted. See section Run post checks for more information on how to see failing objects in the current view. •If the post check finds conflicts in the changeset, they must be corrected before the changeset can be posted. See section Handle changeset conflicts for more information on how to handle this. |
