Place new cable pillar is intended to be used during design when existing cable pillars are replaced with new ones. The tool creates a new cable pillar with the same technical ID and the same rotation as a cable pillar to be replaced.
The function can also be used when there are two cables connected to one group.
All components in the cable pillar except those in the states Destroyed and Discarded are also created in the new cable pillar. Groups, fuses and other connections are created in the new cable pillar with the same location as in the cable pillar to be replaced. Fuses have the same fuse size and the same normal connection states from / to.
From each group in the new cable pillar, the function creates one meter of feeder cable / service cable in state Planned with the same cable type as in the cable pillar to be replaced. A joint is also created. It acts as a cable end to facilitate further work.
The state of the new cable pillar and its components is Designed. The state of the cable pillar to be replaced and its components which are in one of the states for 'In use' are changed to 'In use, planned for destruction'. The function only changes the state to 'In use, planned for destruction' for the child objects that are in 'In use' states.

When the function Place new cable pillar has been used on an existing cable pillar, it is not possible to select the same cable pillar again as the idea with the function is that existing cable pillars should be replaced with new ones. |
Replace cable pillar with new cable pillar
1.Choose Tools > Replace cable pillar > Place new cable pillar.
2.Select the cable pillar to be replaced with a new one.
3.Place the new cable pillar in the map.
