Resource registry

The resource registry is used to manage the resources that can be used in the Operating order module.

There are two types of resources:

Internal resources - Users who have an account in dpSpatial and work in the system.

External resources - Contractors, companies, departments, or other resources that do not have a user account.

Both types of resources can be used in operating orders, but they are managed differently.

To manage internal and external resources, you need permission to manage code lists, typically the role MANAGECODELISTS.

Internal resources

Internal resources are used for users who work in the Operating order module and need permission to create, approve, or execute operating orders.

Internal resources are registered as users in the User manager. The code list Internal resources / INTERNAL_RESOURCES_CL is linked to the User manager and retrieves the user’s contact information. The code list also specifies which authorizations and functions the user should have in the Operating order module.

To open the User manager, you normally need an administrator role, such as:

ELADM

ELSUPERADM

SUPERADMIN_ROLE (if no customization is in place)

See section User Manager for more information.

1.In the menu bar, select Administration > Codelists > Codelist manager.

2.Select Codelist owner - Operator (OPERATOR).

3.Select Codelist - Internal resources / INTERNAL_RESOURCES_CL.

4.Add or edit the resource.

When you add a new resource, enter the same Username as in the user manager.

5.Specify the desired authorizations.

Authorizations and areas of interest are indicated with 0 (no) or 1 (yes). For clarity, we recommend filling in all fields, even if they are not required.

6.Press Save to save the new information.

7.Press Update server.

Deactivate users in the Operating order module by unchecking Active value / ACTIVE.

External resources

External resources are used for contractors, companies, departments, or other resources that do not have a user account in dpSpatial.

Since external resources are not linked to the User manager, contact information is entered directly into the code list. The code list is also used to specify which functions the resource can be used for in the Operating order module.

1.In the menu bar, select Administration > Codelists > Codelist manager.

2.Select Codelist owner - Operator (OPERATOR).

3.Select Codelist - External resources / EXTERNAL_RESOURCES_CL.

4.Add or edit the resource.

When you add external resources, a system-generated serial number (CODENUM) is specified instead of a username.

5.Enter contact information and the desired authorizations.
