In addition to customer facility meters the Meter Alarm module also support handling of station meters. When a fault detected by the station meter occurs in the network, the corresponding meter event is automatically transferred to dpPower. The events are materialized on an object called Measurement point. A measurement point is not a physical network device. It is a data storage object that often combines values from different physical devices such as current and voltage transformers to store and present events as well as measurements for power etc. The point is linked to the topology of the network.
Place a Measurement point

A Measurement point can only be placed in the schematic view. |
1.In the toolbar, press 
to open the sidebar.
2.Select the Place object tab.
3.Select Miscellaneous > Measurement point > Measurement point.
4.Press Place object. A dialog opens.
5.Fill in desired attributes.
6.Press OK.
7.Select an object for which the measurement will be taken, typically a switch.
8.Select a connected object to the object first selected to define the direction of the measurements, typically the bay.
9.Place the measurement point in the schema.
Place a Meter under a Measurement point
1.Right-click on a measurement point and select Create new meter. A dialog opens.
2.Fill in desired attributes.

The meter ID must be unique in a specific station, two meters in the same station can not share the same ID. |
3.Press OK. The meter is now visible in the attribute form for the measurement point under Related data.
Station meter events
Station meter events linked to outages
Measurement point events are automatically linked to outages.

Prerequisites: •The operated switch, typically a circuit breaker, needs to be placed in the same bay as the measurement point. •The Actual time of the first executed operation of the outage needs to be within one (1) minute of that of the measurement point event. |
1.In the menu bar, select Operator > Show/Hide Operator. The south panel opens.
2.In the south panel, select the Outages tab.
3.Select a desired outage from the list. The east panel opens. Linked meter events are visible in the Station meter events section.
Show Station meter events in the south panel
1.In the menu bar, select Operator > Show/Hide Operator. The south panel opens.
2.In the south panel, select the Events tab.
3.In the drop down menu, select Station meter events.
4.Fill in other desired search criteria and press Search. The Outage/Operating order column shows the ID of the outage linked to the event.
