Once you have logged in and opened a changeset, the application’s main window appears. The main window includes the menu bar, the toolbar, a graphical view, and other elements that together creates the application’s user interface.
For more information about the various parts of the interface, see the section User interface.
Select Window > New Window or press Ctrl + N to open a new application window.
The new window contains a graphical view with the same map product as the view that was active when the window was created.
Select Settings > Save frame settings or press Ctrl + J to save the settings for all windows and views in the current changeset.
The following settings are saved:
•Selected map product, such as an urban area map, rural area map, or automatically generated graphics.
•Map settings for product classes in the Scale-Dependent, Show, and Hide modes.
•Map section, i.e., the map’s geographic position and current zoom level.
You can restore saved window settings at any time by selecting Settings > Restore frame settings.
When the settings are restored, windows, views, map products, themes, and other saved settings return to the state they were in when the settings were saved.
When you open a changeset in the Select Changeset window, you can choose to use the saved window settings by clicking Open.
If you’d rather open the changeset without the saved settings, click the arrow next to Open and select Open, ignore frame settings.
