These features are used, among other things, to control the component’s rotation, orientation, and placement relative to other objects on the map.

Place Without Rotation |
Places the component without rotation. |
Select rotation with the mouse pointer |
Allows you to specify the component’s rotation using the mouse pointer before placement. |
Snap to right angles |
Limits rotation to right angles. |
Snap to right angles |
Helps align the component to right angles during placement. |
Rotation relative to nearest line |
Rotates the component based on the direction of the nearest line component. |
Rotation relative to object |
Rotates the component based on the orientation of a selected object. |
Enter Coordinates |
Opens a dialog box where coordinates can be entered manually. |
Place relative to |
Used to position the component relative to another object on the map. |
Geodesy |
Opens the geodetic placement tool. |
Cancel |
Cancels the current placement. |
