In addition to drawing attributes, there are other settings that can affect how map data is displayed.
Under Settings > Preferences, you can, among other things, specify that:
•locked objects to be displayed in a different color,
•objects in the current change set to be displayed in a different color,
•selected objects to be displayed with specific selection colors.
These settings override other color settings as long as they are enabled.
Colors used for markings and temporary graphics are reset when the map is redrawn.
Under Show > States, you can specify specific colors for different states.
These settings are used to visualize features based on their state and can be combined with alternative drawing attributes.
For more information on managing drawing attributes, see the drawing attributes tool.
