Customizing maps

As a user, you have access to a variety of options for temporarily controlling the appearance of the graphical view. Among other things, you can:

Select which map product to display in the active view.

Control which map data is visible by turning product classes, feature types, or individual component types on or off.

Temporarily change the appearance of the map graphics by adjusting drawing attributes such as color, hight, line weights, and so on.

Create and manage map templates.

Select a background map.

Manage Maps

To open the map settings, select one of the following options:

Open the Sidebar and select the Map tab.

Select Administration > Map product.

Filter by active view

You can enable a filter so that only component types present in the active view are displayed in the map tree. In addition, available background maps are also displayed. Component types that the user has hidden are shown as hidden in the map tree. Upon restart, the application remembers the filter setting.

1.Open the Sidebar at .

2.Select the Map tab.

3.Left-click the icon to the left of the map templates icon and select Filter by Active View.

 

More Information

To restore a map to its original appearance, click "Reset" on  the Map tab.
