This topic describes how to log in to dpPower.

Checklist before you log in

To log into the system, you must have access to your Username and Password.

Digpro's NIS/GIS products are based on Java technology, requiring that Java Runtime Environment is installed on your client computer.

If this is the first time  dpPower  runs from the computer you are using, make sure that a Java client is installed. Java is available today from various companies and projects. At Digpro, we use several different versions, but a common one is Zulu from Azul. They are released at intervals of several years in Long Term Support (LTS) editions, which we recommend choosing – not the absolute latest version all the time. This version of dpSpatial requires at least Java version 21.

If you need assistance with login details or installing a Java client, please contact your System/IT administrator.

1.Double-click on the dpSpatial shortcut icon on your desktop or select its bookmark in your web browser to open the login window. If a padlock symbol is displayed, your connection is secure and encrypted.

2.Enter your Username and your Password.

3.Select Application. The selected application will be default the next time you log in.

4.Select the Language you want to appear in the application's menus, dialog windows, and so on. The selected language will be default the next time you log in.

5.Press Log in. The dialog My changesets opens, where you create and select a changeset to work with in the application.

The first time running dpPower after an installation or upgrade, it may be necessary to create a new shortcut icon. We suggest that an administrator logs in and starts the application via the URL of the system's login page, using a web browser. The shortcut icon can then be shared with other users and/or any startup hyperlinks modified with the correct URL.

Automatic login with Windows account (Single Sign On)

It is possible to sign in automatically in dpPower with a username and password  through your Window account. The solution is called Single Sign On (SSO) and makes it easy, safe and quick to log in. If SSO is set up and enabled, you only need to confirm the details with the Log in button or the Enter-key during sign in. The username in dpPower is mapped towards your login details in Windows for automatic validation in the system.

Contact Digpro for more information about SSO and how we can implement this solution for you.
