Create guy pole and support rod

Guy pole and support rod is drawn as a guy pole line and separate arrow head. For the guy pole the arrow head shall be at the end of the guy pole line and the direction should be from the pole. For a support rod the arrow shall be created somewhere on the line and the direction should be towards the pole.

For detailed description of how to place objects and components, see section Place objects and components.

 

1.In the sidebar Place object tab, select Poles > [selected pole].

2.Press the Place object button and place the pole in the map.

3.In the menu bar, select Settings > Change snap mode.

4.Mark Vertex, symbol justification point and leave the menu open.

5.In the menu bar, select Place > Component > For object.

6.Select the pole as object.

7.Select Guy pole, line in the menu.

8.Select the pole as the starting point and set the next point as far as the guy pole should be. Finish the guy pole line by double-click or right-click and select Create Component.

9.In the menu bar, select Place > Component > For object.

10.Select the pole as object.

11.Select Symbol arrow in the menu.

12.For guy pole:

a.Right mouse click and select Rotation relative to closest line.

b.Move the symbol arrow over the guy pole line to get the correct angle.

c.When the angle is correct, select to snap to the guy pole lines end point by holding down the Alt button on the keyboard and click the left mouse button. Accept the end point.

13.For support rod:

a.Change the snap mode to Mid point or Closest point, depending on where you like to put the symbol arrow on the guy pole line.

b.Snap towards the guy pole line and accept.

c.Change snap mode to Vertex, symbol justification point, and snap the pole and accept to get the direction for the symbol arrow.
