Overview

Auto Announcement handles announcements by putting all potential events in a queue that is automatically processed in the background. The background process compares the events with the module's configuration and applies predefined announcement templates where relevant. Events that do not need to be notified are sent directly to the history.

Examples of events where Auto Announcement can automatically send announcements:

An outage from A SCADA event occurs.

Customers are disconnected during an existing outage.

A previously announced outage gets a new planned end time or is canceled.

Customers have been without power for at least X minutes.

An outage is marked as resolved or completed.

A previously announced outage is given a confirmed cause.

Log and follow-up

With the log in Auto Announcement, system administrators can ensure that the configuration of automatic announcements is correctly adapted to the organization's needs. The log acts as a history of processed events, allowing for retrospective analysis of announcements. It offers the possibility to:

Identify events where announcements could have been sent but were not.

See in which situations announcements have actually been sent.
