Auto Announcement is a module that enables automatic or semi-automatic sending of announcements to end-customers in case of planned outages and unplanned operation outages. Through predefined announcement templates, clear and uniform information can be sent to end customers via SMS or e-mail, based on contact information in dpSpatial. The module ensures that customers are kept up to date on, for example, changed end times or resolved outages, and stores the history of sent announcements for follow-up.

In addition to end-customer communication, Auto Announcement also handles resource announcements, where operations staff are automatically informed of incidents such as SCADA events or meter alarms. The function is particularly valuable for network owners without a manned operations center around the clock, as it facilitates quick action in the event of outages.

The module relieves both operations staff and customer support, allowing them to focus on core tasks such as fault correction and personal safety.
