Configuring tiled raster servers is a tool for loading various tiled based raster layers from the Internet as described in the XYZ standard.
It is similar to WMS in terms of:
•Provides the URL with certain metadata (such as scale, levels)
•Loads a raster layer to the map view
•Handles layers that are already loaded
1.Select File > Reference Data > Configure tiled raster servers... A dialog opens.
2.Fill in the fields. Fields marked in red are mandatory.
3.Press Create.
Saved configurations |
Select a saved configuration from the drop-down menu or create a new configuration. |
Host replacement |
Host replacement is used when there is more than one server hosting the same raster resource. |
Tile levels |
The number of levels at which raster data is generalized. The number of levels describes how many levels in the quad tree are available on the tiled raster servers. |
Level 0 is most detailed |
Some servers treat level "0" as the most detailed (zoomed in, with the highest scaling value), others treat level "0" as the less detailed (zoomed out, with the lowest scaling value). To use this check box or not depends on the tiled raster resource. |
Most detailed scale |
The scale from which the tiled raster layer with the most detailed level will be displayed. This scale determines how many boxes will be displayed for other levels as well. |
Visible on application start |
Use the check box to make the layer from the specific configuration visible when launching the dpSpatial application. |
Server authentication |
Enter username and password for server authentication. |
HTTP header modifier |
Add key / value pair to HTTP request. |
•The layer that is created is available in the Sidebar under Map > WMS and raster.
