Change state

Changes the state of one or several objects. A state describes in which phase of the business flow an object is located.

Example of states:

Planned

Designed

In use

Destroyed

Not verified

Under reconstruction

If you work in a pessimistic changeset and try to change the state of an object that is locked by another pessimistic changeset, an error message is displayed.

1.Select Show > Object Lock Information to see who has locked the object.

If you try to change the state of several objects at the same time in a pessimistic changeset, and there are locked objects in the selection, an error message is displayed.

1.Press OK to change the state of objects that are not locked, or Cancel to close without editing any objects.

Change state on one or several objects

1.Select Edit > Change State...

2.Select one (or more) objects in the map. The Change State window opens.

3.Select a new state in the list, for example Destroyed / Out of operation.

4.Press OK.

If you change to state Destroyed (600) or stage Discarded (650) and if the object(s) on which you change state would be connected to another object, a dialog box will open which makes it possible to directly disconnect the object and change state. During disconnection, border objects are disconnected from the network, but underlying objects within the selected objects retain their connections.

When changing the state of a parent object, it is now shown how many child objects per state there are, and that it is possible to choose which states of the child objects are to be changed.

There is also an option to display connections for the object. A new window will then open showing the connections for the object. Use the Disconnect and change state button to directly disconnect the object and change state.
