•WorkPlanner and version number.
In the menus in the menu bar, you access all commands and tools in WorkPlanner. The most commonly used commands are also available in the toolbar in the form of icons and buttons. Some commands also have keyboard shortcuts.
The selected tool with a short instruction is displayed in the status bar at the bottom left.
Many tools in WorkPlanner are standard tools that are also used in the main application. The tools specific to WorkPlanner are described here.

The calendar view shows the selected projects, tasks and task content as bars in a horizontal chart along a time axis. The scale on the time axis is automatically adjusted to the search result. You can also change it yourself by zooming.
The length and placement of the bars for projects and tasks on the time axis are determined by the start and end times of the task content in Organizer. As the start time, WorkPlanner selects the earliest time of the planned and the actual start time, for an activity for example. As the end time, WorkPlanner correspondingly selects the end time, planned or actual, which is the most recent.
Projects, tasks and task content are displayed in two different views with different sets of colors:
•The time planning view based on time planning and progress. This view is displayed by default.
•The resource planning view based on resource needs and bookings.
The resource planning view is displayed and hidden using the button Show Resourcesin the toolbar.
The appearance of the bars in the different views is configurable with the exception of the colors of the progress of the tasks. See Adjust displayed objects.
The red, vertical line indicates the current date and time.
In the time planning view, you get an overview of the tasks based on time and progress. You can dynamically move and change task content.
The colors on the bars in the scheduling view indicate both the project, task and type of task content, as well as progress. The standard colors are given in the tables below.

The sidebar opens by default when you start WorkPlanner.
In the sidebar, search and select which tasks you want to display in the calendar view. You can also select the calendar view content and customize the graphic appearance. The current and saved planning versions are available under separate tabs.
The sidebar contains three tabs: Content, Map and Planning version.
Under the Content tab, search for the tasks and task content in Organizer that you want to display in the calendar view. You can search for:
•Tasks and task content.
•Tasks and task content planned for the next quarter.
•Activities in different states.
The searches are made with predefined questions to Organizer's database. In the tree structure, select the query type. You can then refine the search by keywords and filtering.
The search result is displayed in a table at the bottom of the sidebar. There you select the object or objects to display in the calendar view.
Based on the query types in the tree structure, you can save your own search queries with the search criteria you often use.
Your saved search queries are automatically saved in the folder Saved questions that is created when you save your first search query.
Your search queries are linked to your personal user profile, only you have access to your own queries.
1.In the sidebar, select the Content tab.
2.Open the folder Base queries and select one of the following:

Task |
|
Activity |
|

3.Refine your search by:
•Entering the Project name or Task name as keyword.
•Filtering by Stadium: All, Active or Closed.
•Filtering by Owner (task, milestone or decision point).
•Filtering by type of activity, milestone or decision point.
4.Press Search. The search result is displayed in the lower part of the sidebar.
