It is possible to issue an alert by email to the owner of an activity or milestone, a specified number of days before a defined date. This possibility is not avaiable for decision points.

In both cases, the alarm time is defined in whole days for each of the objects in the workflow where the effect is desired. These times can also be set in the task template and are then included in the created tasks.

Activities

Email is sent to the activity owner a specified number of days before the planned start date for the activity.

Email is sent to the activity owner a specified number of days before the planned finish date for the activity.

Milestones

Email is sent to the owner of a milestone a specified number of days before the planned date for the milestone.
