Email functionality is available in several places in Organizer. This section covers the situations where emailing is available and how it is configured on the user level.
Part of the configuration needed is to set up scheduled jobs in the organization's environment and to configure its email servers to cooperate with dpSpatial. These types of configurations needs to be handled by Digpro's support in cooperation with the organizations IT department and is not covered in this guideline.
Email functions can be divided into type cases.

Notification on assignment and start of work |
•Email is sent to the user being assigned as owner of a task •Email is sent to the user or inbox who owns an activity or decision point when this activity is started (receives a start date) |
Alarms based on times |
•Email is sent to the user or inbox who owns an activity, a specified number of days before the planned start date for the activity •The above is also applicable for milestones •Email is sent to the user or inbox who owns an activity a specified number of days before the planned finish date for the activity |
Application specific email functions |
In some applications, specific functions for email management has been developed to support the specific work processes and workflows used. These are mainly •NCP (New Customer Process) and dpWebmap Contractor •Nätkollen/Ledningskollen (Swedish based application) |
