Administrate cost catalogs

You can  use cost catalogs to calculate costs and production times for actions done in the network. Cost catalogs are common to the entire system and accessible through all applications.

 

Create a new cost catalog

1.Select Organizer > Show/Hide administration.

2.In the south panel, select the Cost catalogs tab.

3.Press Create New Cost Catalog .

4.Select the type of cost catalog you would like to create.

oFor New empty cost catalog:

a.Fill in the information about the new catalog. Press Set currency to select a currency.

b.Press OK to create the catalog.

oFor other types:

The following applies to the General cost catalog:

Used for catalogs that are neither EBR nor Norm price list.

Allows up to five headings.

 

Example of General cost catalog:

The following applies to all cost catalogs:

A cost catalog is created from the selected file, along with a log file for the data file import.

The data file is a semicolon-separated text file whose format is determined by the type of cost catalog being created.

The first row in the file is a row in the cost catalog.

The data file must not contain headers in the middle of the file.

Prices must not have spaces as separators.

Commas need to be replaced with periods for decimal numbers to be handled correctly.

If you do not have the Investment KPI module, you need to use standard allocation parameters to be able to export and update the catalog.

a.Select the data file that defines the catalog's content and set the desired options.

If there are catalog connections to an existing cost catalog of the same type, you can copy connections from that catalog via Copy connections from.

b.Press Choose file to create the catalog.

 

Update cost catalog

1.Select Organizer > Show/Hide administration.

2.In the south panel, select the Cost catalogs tab.

3.Press Search, to search for all the cost catalogs in the system.

4.Select the cost catalog you want to edit.

5.Press Update cost catalog .

6.Select the cost catalog type you would like to convert the selected cost catalog to.

7.Edit the cost catalog. For example, you can rename it or change the data file associated with the catalog.

To edit the actual content of a cost catalog, you must modify the data file and then import it again.

See the section Export cost catalog below.

 

Export cost catalog

An exported cost catalog can be used for viewing the format of the selected catalog type, or in order to edit the content of the selected catalog when creating a new version of it.

1.Select Organizer > Show/Hide administration.

2.In the south panel, select the Cost catalogs tab.

3.Press Search, to search for all the cost catalogs in the system.

4.Select the cost catalog you would like to export.

5.Save it as a file, in order to make changes in the content.

6.Select the cost catalog you would like to export in the south panel.

7.Press Export current selected catalog .

8.Select the type of cost catalog you would like the selected cost catalog to  be exported as.

9.Select the rows you would like to export. If you wish to export all rows, you do not need to take action.

10.Press Export to spreadsheet or Export to PDF .

 

Set currency

When creating a new empty cost catalog, you can set the currency at the time of creation. You can also set the currency for existing cost catalogs.

1.Select Organizer > Show/Hide administration.

2.In the south panel, select the Cost catalogs tab.

3.Press Search to retrieve the cost catalogs available in the system.

4.Select the desired cost catalog. The east panel opens.

5.In the east panel, under the Cost catalog tab, press Set currency.

 

Compare cost catalogs

1.Select Organizer > Show/Hide administration.

2.In the south panel, select the Cost catalogs tab.

3.Press Search, to search for all the cost catalogs in the system.

4.Select the cost catalog you would like to compare.

5.Press Compare catalogs .

6.Select the cost catalog you would like to compare the selected catalog to.

7.Press Select catalog. Red lines are removed, green lines are added, purple lines are changed.

 

Delete cost catalog

1.Select Organizer > Show/Hide administration.

2.In the south panel, select the Cost catalogs tab.

3.Press Search, to search for all the cost catalogs in the system.

4.Select the cost catalog you would like to delete.

5.Press Delete Cost Catalog .
