Place nodes on top of UPRN objects

In its standard form, this tool is only relevant in the UK, but it can be configured to use other data sources for potential customer nodes.

This tool creates either customer nodes or prospect nodes at the same location as a selected set of imported UPRN (Unique Property Reference Number) nodes.

dpCom supports a two-phase handling of UPRN data:

Initially, UPRN data can be imported as UPRN nodes, a special object type in the same domain as the background maps.

As part of a design, prospect nodes or customer nodes can be created for a subset of the imported UPRN nodes.

1.In the menu bar, select Tools > Place nodes on top of UPRN objects. A side panel opens.

2.To select a set of UPRN objects, press Select area to place a polygon in the map, or press the arrow and Select with dialog to select by object type and component type.

3.Press Distribution node to set object properties.

4.Select which nodes to place by checking the box for either Customer node or Prospect node.

5.Press Place nodes. The attributes of the UPRN nodes, such as address, UPRN code, parent UPRN, and so on, are copied to the generated nodes.
