<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Delete routes and nodes |
The tool "Delete Routes and Nodes" works on a selection of node and/or route objects. The user must define the scope of the deletion by setting checkbox values for the deletion action.
The command is a very efficient and powerful tool for deleting objects, especially when all options are selected, but in that case, it will not provide any warnings to the user, so the tool should be used with caution and only by experienced users.
1.Locate the node or route you want to delete in the map view.
2.Right-click on the object and select Object > Remove Routes and Nodes. A dialog box will open.
3.Check the checkbox(es) for the deletion options to include. The options are:
a.Automatically disconnect routes from nodes.
If this is not selected, only routes and/or nodes that are not connected can be deleted.
b.Automatically remove links to route content.
Content in the route that exists in other routes will be removed, but the content will not be deleted. This means that content that only exists in a selected route will prevent the route from being deleted unless the checkbox for deleting route content is selected.
c.Automatically delete route content.
Route content that only exists in the route to be deleted will be deleted along with the route.
d.Automatically delete node content.
Content in a node will be deleted along with the node.
4.Click OK to complete the deletion.
