Several object types have an attribute called Hierarchical level. This attribute helps describe the purpose of an object, such as whether it is for connecting a customer node or a primary node.

The names and levels are not predefined, they must be entered by an administrator in the Codelist manager tool.

Various tools in dpCom can use this attribute.

Connect cables and fibers based on hierarchical level, allows the execution of functions such as Connect equipment, Connect to multi side of splitter module, Connect to back of ODF, or Connect to front of ODF for multiple nodes simultaneously. The purpose is to set up cables and equipment objects with hierarchical levels so that, for example, all customer drop cables ending in a node can be connected to a secondary splitter in that node. This can be done for one node at a time or for a selection of nodes.
