The tools in this group are all operating on a collection of cables and different types of equipment objects. The cables are connected on the cable level and then the fibers are connected according to the variant of the tool.

The tools are easiest to start from the node overview of a node. Start by selecting a set of unconnected cables, e.g. by drag-boxing (drag the cursor whilst holding down the left-mouse button) or by clicking on the cables one by one with the control button pushed.

Then select the relevant equipment object. If the command involves fiber connection, make the selection in the dialog for how many fibers to connect.

Connect cables and fiber inside a node

1.Start by showing node content in any view.

2.Select the cables you want to connect with a drag-box.

3.Start the operation using Autogeneration > Connect cables and fiber inside node > [choice of operation].

4.Depending on the choice of operation, select the applicable equipment or the feeding cable. The "Connect fibers in chosen nodes" dialogue will open. Except when selecting function Connect equipment.

5.Select the appropriate number of fibers to connect and press OK to confirm the operation.
