This function allows you to connect cables to nodes automatically by placing a polygon around the nodes where cables are to be connected, providing that there is one equipment and one cable in each node.

The function can be used on for example ODF, Switch, Converter and Active equipment.

Connection rules: 1 cable + 1 equipment in each node in order for the objects to be connected.

Note! This tool requires that you use an optimistic changeset.

 

1.Start the operation through Autogeneration > Connect cables in nodes.

2.Place a polygon around the node(s) that the cables are to be connected to.

3.In the status bar at the bottom information is displayed on the number of objects that were connected.

4.If connections are already made, the Error dialogue will open saying that no more connections can be made.
