Changesets

With the Import Changeset function, it is possible to import the contents of an entire changeset to dpCom. The function is intended to facilitate the movement of data between e.g. various dpCom applications.

Also note that an optimistic changeset must be used to import files.

The function requires a specific feature that must be ordered by Digpro. Contact your customer manager or Digpro Support for more information on how to proceed.

Prerequisites

To avoid creating broken data, make sure that there are only changes made in the dpCom application in the changeset that you are importing.

By default, the changeset to which the changes are to be imported must be empty. If it is not empty, a dialog will be opened informing about this. However, this can be adjusted via configuration if you do not want the default settings. The options that are then available to choose from are:

oThat the changeset does not have to be empty, but a question is then asked if you want to "Merge" the changes with the existing changes that are in the changeset

oThat the changeset does not have to be empty and that the changes are merged automatically without any question if you want to "Merge" the changes with the existing ones.
