Under Tools > Announcement, there are three types of announcement templates:

•Create announcement template for customers

•Create announcement template for subscriptions/customer facilities

•Create announcement template for standard announcement

 

The templates are used for announcements in Operator/OMM. When announcing in Operator, use Create announcement template for subscriptions/customer facilities.

 

Create announcement template for subscriptions/customer facilities

1.Select Tools > Announcement > Create announcement template for subscriptions/customer facilities. The dialog box Announcement template, subscriptions - dpCom opens.

2.Under the tab Announcement template, subscriptions - dpCom, enter a Template name and select template type in the drop-down list Template type.

3.Select the tab for the desired announcement template method: Announcement template, SMS; Announcement template, mail or Announcement template, email.

4.Enter SMS message or Heading/Subject and Message/Email text, depending on announcement method.

•If you make an announcement template for mail, you can create the text of the template in HTML outside the Operator and copy it to the message field. In this way you can format the message with font, font style, font size and font color according to the HTML standard. You can combine HTML and substitution variables in the message.

•Under the tab Handled substitution variables, you find variables that you can copy to the announcement template.

 

I.e "SCUSTOMER_NAME" and "STIMESPANS"

5.Press OK.

To make an announcement, see section Announcement. It also shows how the substitution variables look in an announcement.

 

 

Edit announcement templates

1.Select Query tool > Reports > Announcement > Announcement templates.

2.Search for the desired announcement template. The search result is shown in a table to the right.

3.Select the template you want to edit in the table to the right, right-click and select Show/edit announcement template. The dialog box Announcement template, subscriptions - dpCom opens.

4.Edit the announcement template.

5.Press OK.

 

 

Delete announcement templates

1.Select Query tool > Reports > Announcement > Announcement templates.

2.Search for the desired announcement template. The search result is shown in a table to the right.

3.Select the template you want to delete in the table to the right, right-click and select Delete announcement template. The dialog box Delete object opens.

4.Press OK.
