Common permission ranges

Each role is linked to a number of permission ranges that determine which objects a user is allowed to read and/or modify. These ranges are designed to reflect common needs for different types of users but can be adjusted as required.

For example, you can:

Change which objects are included in a range

Add or remove exceptions

Define more detailed permissions using subtype ranges

By customizing these settings, you can ensure that each user has the appropriate level of access based on their role within the organization.

For more information about permissions, see the chapter Rights editor.

For more information on how to search for specific objects based on object type numbers, see the chapter Metadata Manual.

Note that read roles are managed in the Read tab, while write roles are managed in the Write tab.
