Settings

Basic

Tabs

The tabs at the top of the window correspond to groups of object types - table owners - in the application. Settings for how states should be displayed in the map are performed for each such table owner.

To access settings for displaying and coloring states, select one of the tabs at the top of the window.

State

Name of the states available for the current application and object type.

Application, object type (table owner) and state number for each state are displayed in an info box when you hover over the state name.

Show

On the left side of the window, check or uncheck the checkbox next to each state name for objects that have that state to be shown or hidden in active view. Check or uncheck the All checkbox at the bottom to show or hide all states.

Coloring

Set color

On the right side of the window, you can set the state colors to be used in the active view. Which colors different states should be displayed in can be controlled in three ways:

Product

(Default option) It is possible to customize a map product so that objects automatically get a different color depending on what state they are at. This type of color management is called Alternate Drawing Attributes and can be customized in the admin tool Administration > Map product > Drawing attributes administration tool. Product colors can be set up and customized for one or more map products used in the application.

If Product colors are missing in the Show states window, it is because no alternate drawing attributes are set for the map product displayed in the active view.

Base

It is possible to decide in a configuration file (on the Tomcat server) in which color objects of different states should be drawn in. The difference to Product colors, (alternative drawing attributes) above, is that Base colors apply to all map products in the application.

User

Put your own colors on states. Applying custom colors will overwrite any Product and Base Colors set by the administrator.

Customize colors on states

Left-click in the color field to select a color in the color selector.

For your color to appear in the map, select User from the drop-down list on the right, then press Apply.

To retain custom state color customizations, select Preferences and select Save Window Settings (Ctrl-J).

Use

In the drop-down list on the far right, you can choose which of the three color options Product, Base, User should be used for each state. Select a setting from the bottom drop-down list All to set all states at once.
