Controls the degree of transparency and dimming for raster images. Examples of grids are orthophotos, the overview map, OpenStreetMap or a georeferenced photo loaded as a reference file. In the map tree, raster images are displayed with the raster icon .
1.Select Settings > Raster settings.
2.Select which raster you want to change using the drop-down list, or select All to change all rasters at once.
a.Select and drag the upper Select Transparency slider to the desired value, from Fully transparent on the left, to Opaque (no transparency) on the right.
b.Select and drag the lower Select Saturation slider to the desired value, from Dimmed (no color) on the left, to Full color on the right.
3.Press OK.
The changes take effect directly in the map when you use the sliders. To save the raster settings for the next session, you can use the Save window settings function in Settings > Save frame settings. |
It is possible to change the color of the raster if it should be the case that e.g. there are analog black-and-white maps of different network types that must be read into the application. This function can thus facilitate the work as it is possible to change the color of these rasters. The function is available via right-clicking on rasters in the map tab and then a color palette opens where colors can be selected and color tolerance can be set using sliders.
Changes made will not be saved. |
If you think that certain graphics in the map have too strong colors, you can choose to adjust the color saturation. This can be especially useful when you've opened a reference file or are using raster that might hide or interfere with map information you need to see. It may sometimes also be necessary to increase the transparency of surfaces in the map. You can do that in the same dialog.
1.In the map tree, right-click a product class, object folder, graphic component, reference file, or raster.
2.Select Color Saturation/Transparency. The Color Saturation/Transparency window opens for the product class, object folder, graphic component, and reference file.
3.To change transparency, select and drag the upper Select Transparency slider to the desired value, from Fully Transparent on the left, to Opaque (no transparency) on the right.
4.To adjust color saturation, drag and drop the bottom slider Choose saturation between Dimmed (no color saturation at all) and Color Saturation (original color).
5.The result is directly reflected in the map. Press OK to save and exit.
Select raster to adjust, right-click and select Color Saturation/Transparency. the Raster Settings window opens.
In the drop-down list, you can select All rasters or a specific raster. The raster that was first selected will be selected by default when the window is opened. It is thus possible to change the transparency and color saturation of individual rasters.
Changed transparency and saturation are also saved with the Save window settings function in Settings > Save frame settings. |
