Import raster
1.Select Administration > Raster import tool.
2.Select the coordinate system of the input file.
3.Press Browse to select the input file.
4.Add the folder where the file(s) are located. When you select the folder with the files and if the coordinate system is correct, the raster extent is displayed in the view.
5.Enter the parameters for the output.
oName - Used to specify the name of the created zip file and is mandatory.
oOutput directory - Select where to save the file, can be saved directly in the rasterdir (usually tomcat-site/raster) or moved there afterwards.
oNumber of directories - If it is a large raster, for example high resolution orthophoto, multiple output directories can be created. The raster is then saved in several zips, each of which is slightly smaller, making it easier to move them if necessary.
oOutput format - Select png if it is an image and jpeg if it is a photo for the best image quality.
6.Specify any other parameters.

If the import is for an image, meaning the output format is png, any frame can be made transparent by giving the frame a color that is not in the image and then checking the Make selected color transparent box. This cannot be done if the output format is jpeg. |
7.Press Build to start the import. The console opens in the bottom right corner, where the process can be followed and any error messages displayed.
8.When the import is complete, press Open output folder.
9.Double-click on the zip file and open the info.conf file in a text editor. The information in this file is used in the raster configuration file, which is usually called raster_site.conf and is located in tomcat-site.
10.Set the desired scale level, specify in which products the raster should be visible and choose a suitable name. When this is done and the raster pyramid zip is in rasterdir (usually tomcat-site/raster), the raster is visible at the next login in the application.
