Tool bar

The toolbar provides quick access to the most common tools in the application. The functions in the toolbar are also available as menu options in the menu bar.

When an application is opened, the arrow tool is automatically activated.

If another function is active, you can end it by right-double-clicking in the map - the arrow tool will be activated again.

Customize the toolbar

You can choose which tools are displayed in the toolbar:

1.Go to Settings > Preferences.

2.Select the Toolbar tab.

3.Check or uncheck the tools you want to display.

4.Click on Apply and then OK.

 

Moving the toolbar

The toolbar can be moved and placed wherever it suits you.

Drag the area to the left of the sidebar icon

Move the toolbar to the desired location

You can also detach it and display it as a separate window

 

When not all tools are visible

If the window is too small:

Use the arrows on the sides to scroll between the tools

 

Keyboard shortcuts

Many tools can also be activated with keyboard shortcuts.

These are shown in brackets in the list below.

 

Standard tools

Show or hide sidebar

Open or close the sidebar in the application window (F9).

Select background map

This function is available for all geographic map products but not for schema.

Query tool

Open the Query tool to search the database, create queries or generate reports (F11).

Show/change attributes

Open the attribute form associated with an object in the map (Ctrl - I).

Select components

Select one or more components in the graphical view (F7). The arrow tool is activated when the application is started.

There are several different options for selecting components, in addition to the standard arrow tool, it is also possible to select:

Highlighted

With lasso

Within new polygon

Within existing polygon

With dialog

Objects saved in the object list

Quick view

Open a window showing a selection of attributes of an object you select in the map (Ctrl - F3).

Quick search

Quick search posted data (Ctrl-F).

Undo

Undo the last action on a graphic object and go back one step in the editing process (Ctrl - Z).

Redo

Redo an action on a graphic object that you undid (Ctrl - Y).

Add component

Add a component to the graphical view.
 

Rotate component

Rotate a component around its insertion point.

Move component

Change the position of a component in the graphical view.

Delete component

Delete a component in the graphical view.

Add vertex

Create a new vertex for a component.

Move vertex

Change the position of a vertex of a component.

Delete vertex

Delete a vertex of a component.
 

Rotate object

Rotate an object, all graphical components of the object are rotated.

Move object

Change the position of an object in the graphical view.

Delete object

Delete an object in the graphical view (Delete).

Link

Press the arrow next to the button to choose between the options:

Link objects Link two objects to each other.

Connect three objects Connect three objects to each other.

Connected objects

Press the arrow next to the button to choose between the options:

Connected objects Lights up all objects connected to the selected object, including objects connected via common nodes or equipment.

Nearest connected objects Highlights only those objects that are directly connected to the selected object.

Show connections Opens a table view showing connections for the selected object.

Disconnect

Disconnect an object from another object.
 

Switch normal connection mode

Switches the normal connection mode to the opposite of the current one.
 

Zoom in

Show a smaller area in the graphical view (increase the map scale).

Zoom out

Display a larger area in the graphical view (decrease the map scale).

Pan

Move the map in any direction. (Hold down the SHIFT key to activate the Pan tool.)

Refresh

Redraw the content of the active graphic view (F5).

Previous area

Go back to the previously displayed section of the graphic view. (Alt-Left) Can also be done with the mouse back button if available.

Next area

Go forward to previously displayed sections in the graphic view (Alt-Right) Can also be done with the forward button of the mouse if available.

Cancel data loading

Cancel ongoing loading of data from the database.
 

Dynamic coloring

Color the grid based on whether it is energized and/or connected to ground.
 

Notifications

Displays any notifications.
