FAQ

How do we get started with the new XML import?

The ability to import XML files from Lantmäteriet must be configured by Digpro. If you have not already had this configured, please create a ticket for this.

Order files from Lantmäteriet or another partner. See below on what files are needed.

Create file transfer and folder structure on the server. The XML files must be placed on the server in the folder tomcat-site/MetriaXMLImport/input_data. The scheduled job XMLImporter runs every day at 04:00.

Which data sets is the functionality based on?

belagenhetsadress.xml — Address - Site address

fastighet.xml — Property - Property and joint property unit

samfallighet.xml — Property - Property and joint property unit

gemensamhetsanlaggning.xml — Property - Joint facility

rattighet.xml — Property - Rights

folkbokford_person_organisation.xml — Registration - Registered person and organisation

inskrivetagande.xml — Registration - Registered ownership

taxering.xml — Assessment - Assessment

Do the files delivered from Lantmäteriet (or partner) need to be unpacked?

Yes, only the above-mentioned files should be in the input_data folder.

Why do files end up in the output_error folder?

If any of the files above end up in the output_error folder, we need to troubleshoot the XML file itself.

If other files from the Lantmäteriet delivery are included, they are automatically placed in the output_error folder. At present, we do not see that these are required to support the functionality.

Lantmäteriet also delivers a _metadata.xml file associated with each XML file. This contains no relevant data for the import and therefore ends up in the output_error folder.

The job cannot handle prefixes in the filename, for example 20260402_belagenhetsadress_1.xml.

The job cannot handle subfolders in input_data. This is currently planned to be addressed in 11.8.

Can the import handle multiple files with the same name?

Yes, the job can handle multiple files with the same name as long as the files are separated with _1, _2, _4. For example: belagenhetsadress_1.xml, belagenhetsadress_2.xml and belagenhetsadress_4.xml. The files do not need to be numbered consecutively.

Do we need to order new property areas?

No. Property areas are surfaces imported via your Property Import, separate from the Property Information import. The new XML format connects to the same property areas that you already have and links through object identity / UUID.

Which role is required to access the data, the tool, and the reports?

OFF_PD_ACCESS provides access to the reports in the Query Tool and the Show property owners function in the Show properties within... dialog. Please note that OFF_PD_ACCESS may be included in other roles.

Where should we place our XML files?

The XML files must be placed in the folder tomcat-site/MetriaXMLImport/input_data.

During the first run of the scheduled XMLImport job, the folders output_error and output_processed are also created automatically in the MetriaXMLImport folder.

Do our customer-specific reports work?

Some of you may previously have ordered customised Property Information reports for ÖFF. These must be adapted to the new format. In that case, please create a ticket stating which report it concerns.

How often does the scheduled XMLImport job run, and can we change it?

By default, XMLImporter runs daily at 04:00. This can be changed through configuration, contact Digpro if you want to change the time.
