Place component

An object can have one or more graphical components that represent the object on the map or diagram. Examples of components include symbols, text, and lines.

Which components can be placed depends on the object type. For some object types, multiple components of the same type can be placed, while others have restrictions on how many components can be linked to the object.

Place a component on an object

To add a new component to an existing object:

1.Select Place > Component > To Object.

2.Select the object in the graphical view to which the component should be linked.

3.Select the desired component type from the menu that appears.

4.Place the component in the graphical view that contains the corresponding map type.

The new component is linked to the selected object and then appears on the map or in the diagram.
