Insert

Insert text frames, page number, compas arrow, legends and more to the printout.

You can choose where in the printout you want to place the different symbols. for example lower right corner or manually. If you're not satisfied you can click on the symbol and drag it to another position or righ-click and select Delete or Delete all (the symbol will be deleted on all pages of the printout) or eventually some object specific alternatives.

Drawing frame

Drawing frame >

Place drawing frame...

Select this option to place a drawing frame in the free plot.

Enter search criteria and click the Search button. To place the drawing frame on all pages, select Apply to all pages before clicking the search button.

Edit

Select this option if you have already inserted a drawing frame to edit the drawing frame. If there is no inserted drawing frame, an error message is received stating that there is no drawing frame placed. If the drawing frame has been inserted on several pages, you can use the All check box for the change made to take effect on the rest of the pages.

 


Delete

Select this option to delete an existing drawing frame.


Delete all

Select this option to delete the drawing frame from all pages.

Legend

Place legend >

Select this option to place a legend in free plot.

Select which legend to load and then click the OK button. The legend will then be inserted in free plot.

To add additional legends to free plot, repeat the step above. Here you can also right-click in the preview window, select the Copy legend width option and then click on the existing legend if you want the size of the new legend to be the same size as the existing one.

Delete

Select this option to delete an existing legend.


Delete all

Select this option to delete the legend from all pages.

View

Place view...

Select this option to place a view in free plot. Note that the place view option is only available in a multi-page plot, otherwise the option will be grayed out.

Select view to place, select where you want to place the view (active page or all pages) and click the OK button. Select the placement point for the view and drag it to the desired size. You can move the view by left-clicking on it in free plot, holding down the button and moving the view to the desired location. What is shown in the overview is the map, with the same map tree settings as in the overview page, pagination and frame. The placed overview is handled like other plot objects, ie. it can be saved and loaded.


Delete

Select this option to delete an existing view.


Delete all

Select this option to delete the view from all pages.

 

Image

Menu options

Place image from server...

Select this option to place image in free plot.

Select image to place and click the OK button. The raster image will be inserted in free plotting using left click. You can move the raster image by left-clicking on it in free plot, holding down the button and moving the image to the desired location. You can also resize the image by holding down the left mouse button in the lower right corner of the image and dragging the image to the desired size.

Raster images must be configured and located in tomcat-site> plot> frame to be imported. Users with DOC feature can also import images from the computer file system. The selected image is loaded to the database.


Delete

Select this option to delete an existing raster image.


Delete all

Select this option to delete the raster image from all pages.

 

Free graphics

Symbol

Select this option to place a symbol in free plot.

Select Symbol, Color, Fill Color, etc.


Text

Select this option to place a text in free plot.

Select Color, Text Style and Height.


Line

Select this option to place a line in free plot.

Select Color, Line Style, and Line Width.


Area

Select this option to place a surface in free plot.

Select Color, Line Style, and Line Width.

 

Date text

Place date text...

Select this option to customize the display of date text in the printout.

Enter the font size in points, or in millimeters.

Select where in the printout to place the date text: Manual placement allows you to place the date text in any location by clicking in the preview.

Select the Apply to all Pages check box to display the date text on all pages in the printout.


Delete

Delete date text in selected print.


Delete all

Remove date text from all pages of the printout.

Page number

Menu options

Page number >

Place page number...

Select this option to customize the display of page numbers in the printout. Page numbers cannot be inserted unless there are multiple pages.

Enter the font size in points, or in millimeters.

Choose where in the printout to place page numbers: Manual placement allows you to place page numbers in any location by clicking in the preview.

Select the Apply to all pages check box to display page numbers on all pages in the printout.


Delete

Delete page number in selected print.


Delete all

Remove page numbers from all pages in the printout.

Coordinate cross...

Make it possible to place coordinate crosses and coordinate texts in the map.

The size of the coordinate cross can be configured in the tomcat site if desired. Default if no configuration is done is 10 (mm).

The configuration should be performed by Digpro or by an administrator with very good system knowledge. Contact the customer manager or Digpro support for more information.

Coordinate cross window settings

Menu options

Description

Show all

Displays all coordinate crosses according to the specified interval.

Show none

Removes all coordinate crosses in the map.

Placement

Choose to enter only coordinate crosses or both text and coordinate crosses.

Coordinate cross

Interval

Distance between coordinate crosses, in meters.

Cross size (mm)

Size of coordinate cross in the printout, in millimeters.

Coordinate text

Placement of coordinate text. Set how the coordinate text is displayed in relation to the coordinate cross. You can choose to place the coordinate text North, East, South or West.

Prefix & Suffix

Enter optional prefixes and suffixes for coordinate values.

Compass arrow

Place compass arrow...

Select this option to customize the display of a compass arrow in the printout.

Select where in the printout the compass arrow should be placed: Manual placement allows you to place the compass arrow in any location by clicking in the preview.

Select the Apply to all pages check box to display the compass arrow on all pages in the printout.


Delete

Remove the compass arrow in the selected print.


Delete all

Remove the compass arrow from all sides of the printout.

Text frame

Menu options

Text frame >

Place text frame...

Allows you to select a text frame to place in the plot. A text frame can contain information corresponding to a drawing header, such as information about the current project, revision and date.

A text frame is an html file that contains a table. The html file is saved in a folder in the Tomcat tree. It is possible to design your own text frame and in them show, among other things, your own logos.

When you select the function, the Text frame window opens.

1.Select a text frame from the list.

2.In the Select placement drop-down list, select where in the printout you want to place the text frame. The default value is the Lower right corner.

3.Select the Apply to all pages option to place the text frame in all print sheets in a split over pages print.

4.Click the OK button to position the text frame according to settings.

 


Edit

To edit the contents of a text frame, select Insert > Text frame > Edit, or right-click / double-click the text frame in the print view.


Delete

Removes single text frames in the printout.


Delete all

Removes all text frames from all pages in the printout.

Thematic map

Thematic map

Is activated when you have chosen to produce a thematic map using the Query Tool. See section Query tool > Create thematic map for more information.

When the function is activated, it is possible to load the last copied thematic map.

Scale

Scale >

Scale ruler >

Place scale ruler...

Allows you to place a scale ruler anywhere in the printout. You can choose to place a scale ruler only on the active page or on all pages in a multi-page printout.

 

 



Select scale ruler style

Select Standard or Thin style on the scale ruler.

Select the Halo Effect check box so that the scale ruler is visible against a dark background.



Set font size

Select the check box to place a scale text along with the scale ruler. Example: "Scale 1: 500"

Enter the font size in points or in millimeters.



Paper size

Select the check box to insert a task on the current and selected paper size next to the scale ruler text. Example: "Scale 1: 500 (A4)".



Select location

Select where in the printout to place the scale text: Manual placement allows you to place the scale text in any location by clicking in the preview.

Select the Apply to all pages check box to display the scale text on all pages of the printout (applies to multi-page printouts only).



Delete

Remove a scale ruler from the active print page.



Delete all

Remove a scale ruler from all print pages in the preview.



Scale text >

Place scale text

Select this option to customize the display of scale text in the printout.



Set font size

Enter the font size in points or in millimeters.



Select location

Select where in the printout to place the scale text: Manual placement allows you to place the scale text in any location by clicking in the preview.

Select the Apply to all pages check box to display the scale text on all pages of the printout (applies to multi-page printouts only).



Delete

Remove scale text in selected print.



Delete all

Remove scale text from all pages of the printout.



Paper size >

Place paper size

Inserts a text label about the current paper size at an existing scale text. Example: "Scale 1: 500 (A4)".



Delete

Remove the paper size in the selected printout.



Delete all

Remove the paper size from all pages of the printout.

Map viewport

Menu options

Description

Map viewport  >

Place polygon

Cut out a new viewport in the map by placing a polygon.


Place rectangle

Cut out a new viewport in the map by placing a rectangle.


Select polygon

Select a polygon.


Delete

Delete the current viewport in the map.
