2.Select the file you want to manage.

3.Select how you want to handle the reference file. You can Edit, Detach, Unload, Load or Close.

Settings

File name

Name of reference file that has been opened.

Auto load

Select the check box if you want the reference file to load automatically the next time you open the changeset. If you change the changeset, the files that are set to do so in the new changeset are auto-loaded. The files that are loaded in the old changeset remain as loaded, but are marked as not auto-loading in the new changeset.

The next time you open the changeset, you will be asked to confirm the loading of the reference files that you previously selected to "Auto load".

Select the file or files to be loaded by selecting the check box next to the file name.

Files that cannot be loaded (for example, because the file does not exist or if the file is saved in a location (locally) that is not accessible from your computer) are displayed at the bottom of the list. To enter the correct path to a file, press Browse on the left.

Select Select All to load all the files in the list. Select Deselect All to not select any file at all. (Files with invalid path cannot be selected / deselected). You can select one or more files by pressing Ctrl or Shift key. Press OK to accept the selection. Selected files are loaded into the application.

Display in products

Specifies which map products the reference file is displayed in. Controlled in the Reference File Settings accessed by pressing Edit.

Loaded

Indicates whether or not the reference file is loaded, Yes / No. Loaded reference files have their own bookmarks in the Window menu and appear as separate product classes in the Map tab (sidebar). Auto load is not affected by the selection.

Edit

Controls which map product or products a selected reference file should be displayed in.

Select the reference file for which you want to change the settings, and then press Edit. The Reference File Settings window opens.

The Display Name field allows you to add a name for the reference file that will end up in the Display Name column in the Handle Attached Reference Files window.

Detach

Delete all loaded data about the selected reference file. The reference file is no longer displayed in the window. To be displayed again, it must first be opened via the menu option File > Reference data > Open reference file...

Unload

Delete the reference file's graphics, bookmarks, and product class in the Theme tab from all products where it appears. In the list view, the column value for Yes changes to No.

Load

Create a bookmark and product class for a reference file selected in the list view. The Charged column value changes to Yes.

Close

Close the window.

More information

The loaded reference files also end up in the Map tab in the sidebar. Here you can manage the loaded files using right-click. Under the right-click menu there are the same functions as the Handle attached reference files window, but here you can also select the function Customize view, (which centers the reference file in the map), Save map settings and Delete map settings.
